A Short Recap of Yankee Stadium Memorabilia
By Mike Martin
Yankee stadium will be leveled to the ground by some companies which will own up the responsibility to topple the stadium and sell the memorabilia like lockers or other historical things. The Yankee stadium will be destructed fully except the seats and other vital things which will be sold later to the collectors. The demolition program will be started soon in March and it will take a year long to destruct the whole stadium as per the report of the Economic Development Corporation of the city. It has been decided that at the time of conducting the demolition process, some important portions of the stadium will be rescued and saved from the damage. For instance, the seats inclusive of white colored frieze which is designed with the strong wall standing behind the outdoor grandstand or bleachers. The boiler stack lying outside the main gate for entry which is 120ft tall will also be rescued from the demolition. Top brass of the city decided to sell memorabilia to those who have passion for the historical things as per the report given by Andrew Brent who is believed to be the spokesman of Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg. According to the top officers of the city, the higher authority of the city has already been locked into an agreement with the Mets which will own up the responsibility to enhance the sale of the seats and other accessories of Shea Stadium which will be fully demolished just after this current season. Previous week, the Mets in the first phase started the sale of 16000 pairs of seats from Shea charging $869 per chair. It has been officially settled between the city officers and the Mets that 70% of the total proceeds will directly enter into the bank account of the city and the rest amount will directly go to the Mets charitable house. After the completion of the demolition of Yankee stadium, the new and much more sophisticated stadium will be constructed soon in Bronx and Queens. It is expected by the adepts of the city that in comparison to the selling prices of those seats of Shea, the prices of the seats of Yankee will be much higher.
